CHAI is an AI app for chatting with character-based chatbots that respond and hold conversations in a human-like way. Each character can have a distinct personality and voice—you can pick a historical figure, a movie character, or create an original persona. The app interface is in English, but bots can reply in Russian.

Creating a character

Character creation isn’t available on the official website—it’s only available in the Android or iOS app.

When you build a character, you can:

• Choose whether the bot is private or public
• Define personality, backstory, and other traits

Public bots can be used by other people, who can also rate and share them.

Unlimited chats

• No limits on message count or chat time
• Chat continuously with any characters or NPCs
• Bots try to keep the conversation going and avoid repeating themselves
