Charstar is a platform for chatting with virtual characters powered by neural networks. It offers a library of AI personas with distinct styles, and tools to create your own characters for roleplay and conversation.
Character library and creation
Charstar includes characters across multiple categories, such as anime, movies, and games. You can also build custom characters by adjusting personality, appearance, and communication style to match your preferences.

Apps, access, and content settings
Charstar is available on iOS and Android, and also works in a web version for desktop. It uses open language models to generate more natural conversations. In 2024, voice chat was added to the mobile apps.
The platform supports both SFW and NSFW content. Access to adult content is controlled by filters and requires age confirmation.

Charstar currently works in English and does not yet offer a Russian-language interface.
