Reading Coach is a Microsoft tool for practicing reading skills with AI support. It’s designed for learners who can already decode words and want to read faster, more accurately, and with more confidence.
You choose a difficulty level and topics of interest, then get texts that match your current ability. Content can be generated with AI or selected from ReadWorks’ leveled text passages, helping keep practice materials appropriately challenging.
Reading Coach tracks which words cause the most trouble and brings them back in later chapters and exercises. Repeated exposure to challenging vocabulary in context supports retention and improves reading fluency.
The tool supports reading in multiple languages and provides pronunciation feedback across different English dialects. It also tracks progress and rewards consistent practice by unlocking new characters and story settings.
