Copilot 2.0

Copilot 2.0 is the second version of Microsoft’s official AI assistant. It can generate images, write and edit text, answer questions, and help with coding and other everyday tasks.

What Copilot 2.0 can do

Copilot 2.0 uses OpenAI models GPT-4o and DALL-E 3. It also adds deeper support for Microsoft 365 workflows, including working with Excel data using Python, formulas, charts, and basic accounting tasks like income forecasting and expense calculations.

• Generate, insert, and run code snippets
• Create and edit images from prompts
• Build PowerPoint slides for presentations
• Automate analysis in Excel spreadsheets
• Summarize key information from Outlook emails
• Help with shopping searches based on descriptions
• Create recipes, workout plans, diet and health tips
• Process large inputs, including voice messages, images, and text up to 300 pages at a time

Integrations and access

Copilot 2.0 integrates with Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and OneDrive, and includes a built-in Notebook for saving ideas and receiving suggestions. It supports additional modules and plugins (for example, smarter search, hotel booking, flights, phone sync, price comparison, and Suno).

Microsoft 365 subscribers get full access. In Russia, it may require Windows 10/11 plus a GitHub download to run as a separate app, or limited access via the official website with sign-in and VPN.
