Deep Research is an OpenAI research feature that runs multi-step analysis across the web and produces a detailed report in about 5–30 minutes.

What it does

Deep Research automates complex research by processing large numbers of sources, including web pages, images, and PDFs. It uses the o3 model, optimized for web search and data analysis.

How to use it

Deep Research is available inside ChatGPT via the web interface at openai.com.

• Create an OpenAI account
• Choose a Plus or Pro subscription
• Enter your prompt in ChatGPT
• Select Deep Research mode
• Set any research parameters
• Wait for the analysis to finish
• Review the cited report

Pricing and limits

• Pro: $200/month, up to 250 queries
• Plus: $20/month, up to 10 queries

It works in English and may have limitations with private sources and occasional factual errors.
