Doubao is a multi-purpose AI chatbot from ByteDance for writing, image generation, data work, and everyday tasks. It helps create content in different formats, analyze information, and automate routine workflows.

What Doubao can do

Doubao is designed for fast responses and works across ByteDance platforms such as Douyin. It supports 27 input languages and is reported to generate up to 30 million images per month and process 120 billion text characters daily. The built-in assistant, Sisi, can help with:

• Translating text across 27 languages
• Generating images from text prompts
• Analyzing data from Excel spreadsheets
• Writing code in Python and JavaScript
• Building social media content plans
• Answering questions across 15 topic areas

It also integrates with TikTok, where it can generate video subtitles in about 12 seconds.

How to use

Doubao works on the web at doubao.com and is available as an iOS and Android app. The interface is in Chinese, but it understands prompts in Russian and English, and the UI can switch to Russian on first launch. The free plan includes 50 requests per day. Premium pricing is listed as $0.011 per 1,000 tokens (about 1,500 Chinese characters).
