GauGAN is an NVIDIA tool that converts simple sketches and text descriptions into photorealistic images, primarily focused on landscapes. It’s based on GAN technology and is designed to help quickly prototype scenes from rough layouts.

How to use
GauGAN is available as a web app at gaugan.org and as NVIDIA Canvas for Windows 10 on systems with RTX GPUs.
- Open the GauGAN site and accept the terms
- Choose a drawing tool (brush/pencil) and sketch the scene layout
- Assign object types (such as sky, grass, water)
- Add an optional text prompt
- Run generation and save the result
Web access is free. Using NVIDIA Canvas requires an NVIDIA RTX graphics card.
