GigaChat is Sber’s project focused on bringing a Russian-language AI text model to everyday use. The service works similarly to ChatGPT: you type a prompt in a chat interface and get generated text or an image in response.
Built on a multimodal stack that includes FRED-T5, ruGPT-3, and Python GigaChain, GigaChat is positioned as a Russian alternative to ChatGPT. You can submit either a text task or an image prompt, and the system typically returns results within 1–2 minutes.
