Description

GitPodcast turns any GitHub repository into a short podcast you can listen to while commuting or working. Instead of reading a README and docs, you get a spoken walkthrough of what the project does, how it’s organized, and what the main parts are.

Repo-to-podcast in seconds

To generate an audio overview, paste a repository URL—or simply replace “hub” with “podcast” in the GitHub link. GitPodcast analyzes the codebase, files, and project description, then produces a coherent audio summary. It’s useful when you need to quickly evaluate an unfamiliar repo, decide whether it’s worth a deeper dive, or refresh your memory on your own project.

Two listening modes

Choose the level of detail based on your time:

  • Basic podcast (~5 minutes): focuses on the project’s purpose and key modules
  • Deep dive (~10 minutes): covers architecture, technologies, and implementation details

Who it’s for

GitPodcast is designed for people who review or onboard onto codebases:

  • Developers
  • Team leads
  • Code reviewers
