Krita AI is a plugin that brings the Stable Diffusion generative model into the Krita graphics editor, adding AI-assisted tools to digital painting and design.

Installation and requirements

Krita AI runs as a desktop plugin for Krita on Windows, Linux, and macOS. You’ll need Krita installed and compatible hardware.

• Download Krita AI from GitHub
• In Krita: Tools → Scripts → Import Plugin, then select the plugin ZIP
• Restart Krita and enable the panel via Settings → Dockers
• Configure a server (local or remote)

Notes

• Local setup requires 6 GB of VRAM
• Compatible with NVIDIA, AMD, and Apple M1/M2
• Supports Stable Diffusion 1.5 and XL; partial support for Flux and SD3
• Can auto-connect to ComfyUI and includes a generation task queue
• Free and open source under the GNU GPL; English UI with Russian support
