Claude can now create and edit Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, PDF files, and text documents directly in the web version and desktop app. Just send the data or a description of the task, and the AI will assemble a ready-to-use file with formulas, charts, or formatting.
The feature is available to subscribers on the Max, Team, and Enterprise plans in experimental mode (it needs to be enabled in settings). Pro users will get it in the coming weeks.
In addition, the mobile app now lets users allow Claude access to location, maps, and calendar. The chatbot can now search for nearby cafés, schedule meetings, and help organize tasks.
