Google AI Plus: a new Google AI plan with Gemini and 400 GB
Google AI Plus adds 400 GB, higher Gemini limits, Omni, AI Inbox, NotebookLM and Google Flow access in one lower-tier plan
Google AI Plus is better understood as a subscription tier, not a separate AI model. It sits between free Gemini access and the more expensive Pro and Ultra plans. The promise is simple: more AI limits across Google products, bundled with cloud storage.
The plan is drawing search interest because Google has refreshed it. According to 9to5Google, the US price dropped to $4.99 per month and storage doubled to 400 GB. Google’s official Google One page now lists 400 GB, 2x Gemini limits and several AI features for Plus. Pricing and feature availability can vary by country, so the final check should always be inside your Google account.
What Google AI Plus includes
- 400 GB of storage across Gmail, Google Drive and Google Photos.
- 2x higher Gemini usage limits compared with non-AI subscribers.
- Access to Gemini Omni, Daily Brief and AI Inbox in Gmail where those features are available.
- More access to Gemini 3.1 Pro, Deep Research, image, music and video generation.
- More limits in NotebookLM and Google Flow for study and creative workflows.
- Family sharing with up to five other people.
How it differs from Pro and Ultra
Plus is the entry paid tier. It makes sense when free Gemini is too limited, but you do not need the bigger limits, developer tools or 5 TB of storage in Google AI Pro. Pro adds 5 TB, 4x Gemini limits, broader model access, Google Search AI Mode, Docs, Sheets, Google AI Studio and more developer-focused benefits.
Ultra is aimed at users who want the highest limits and early access. Google’s own comparison table highlights Deep Think, Gemini Spark, higher limits in Flow, Jules and Antigravity, plus much larger cloud storage.
How to use it
You subscribe through Google One. After that, the benefits appear across Google products rather than in one separate app: Gemini runs on the web and mobile apps, NotebookLM has its own site, image and video generation live in Gemini and Google Flow, and Gmail features appear inside Gmail when they are available for your country and language.

Who should look at it
Google AI Plus is most useful if you already live inside Google’s ecosystem: Drive for files, Gmail for mail, Gemini for writing and research, NotebookLM for study. It is not the maximum model-access plan. It is the everyday paid layer for people who want more than free Gemini without jumping to Pro or Ultra.
Before subscribing, check three things: whether AI Plus is available in your country, which features are enabled for your account, and whether Pro is a better deal if you need Docs, Sheets, larger limits or 5 TB of storage.
