Hey, Bro is a GPT-4-based chatbot for everyday tasks like writing and recognizing text, fixing code, and identifying objects in photos. It’s available as a Windows app, a Chrome extension, and a web app.

How it works

Hey, Bro uses OpenAI’s ChatGPT API and offers similar capabilities to ChatGPT. It can help when you don’t have access to the original ChatGPT or can’t pay for access to models like GPT-4o and GPT-o1.

You can start chatting without registration: open the chat, type a prompt, or upload a file for analysis.

Plans and usage

The default free option is GPT-4o mini. It handles most requests, but it can’t browse the web, its knowledge is limited to October 2023, and it can’t generate images.

Paid access to GPT-4o and GPT-o1 is available via subscription and is metered using “brocoins,” the service’s internal currency.
