OpenAdapt.AI is an open-source tool for automating computer workflows with AI. It watches what you do in desktop and web apps, learns the sequence, and can replay the same steps later with minimal manual input.
Automation by demonstration (not prompts)
Instead of writing scripts, you perform a task once while OpenAdapt.AI records it. It captures interactions such as:
- Mouse clicks and UI interactions
- Text entry
- Switching between windows and apps
After recording, you can rerun the workflow in a few clicks—no programming required.
Built for LLM, LMM, and action models
The project is designed around large language models, multimodal models, and action models. These help the system understand:
- On-screen context and app interfaces
- The intended sequence of steps
- Changes in UI that could otherwise break automation
Office and HR use cases
OpenAdapt.AI fits repetitive operational work where teams want reusable, shareable automations:
- Document handling and routine office tasks
- Data entry and system updates
- Recruiting workflows (including LinkedIn) and other HR processes
Teams can record scenarios, share them internally, and standardize common workflows without building custom bots.
