Telegram has introduced AI features in the messenger, starting with sticker search. The tool is available on Telegram Web, Android, and iOS (as of the December 5 update).
Telegram built its own image-trained AI model that understands short text prompts made of a few keywords. To use it, open the sticker panel and type a query such as:
In testing, sticker search returned relevant results quickly. Telegram notes that results appear instantly and the algorithm can scan up to 40,000 stickers from official packs.
AI search works in Russian, English, and other languages. It can help sticker creators make their packs easier to find and help users discover the right sticker faster.
With a Telegram Premium subscription, the same AI search is also available for emojis, using the same workflow.
The update also added sticker and emoji suggestions above the message input. Type a short cue (for example, :pirate) to quickly insert matching stickers or emojis.
