Description

Agentic AI is an Nvidia AI technology designed to autonomously handle complex, multi-step tasks using advanced reasoning and iterative planning. Unlike traditional chatbots that respond to single prompts, it can analyze data, form strategies, and take actions with minimal ongoing human input.

What it does

Agentic AI can combine data from multiple sources to solve practical problems across domains, including:

  • Supply chain optimization
  • Cybersecurity vulnerability analysis
  • Assisting clinicians with routine workflows
Core capabilities

The system is typically described through four building blocks:

  • Perception: collects and processes data from sources like sensors, databases, and digital interfaces
  • Reasoning: uses LLMs to understand tasks, generate solutions, and coordinate specialized models (for example, content creation or image processing)
  • Action: connects to external tools and software via APIs to execute planned steps
  • Learning: improves over time through feedback from interactions and new data
How to use it

Agentic AI is delivered as prebuilt Blueprints for automated code documentation and can be used through Nvidia AI Enterprise. It supports Dell, HPE, Lenovo, and Supermicro data centers, and cloud services from AWS, Google, Microsoft, and Oracle. Free trials are currently available to Nvidia Developer program members via hosted APIs (downloadable from build.nvidia.com and Hugging Face). Business users can access a full package including NeMo, NeMo Retriever, and both Nemotron models as NIM microservices.
