Beam is a native macOS app that lets you open ChatGPT from anywhere in the system using a keyboard shortcut. It’s designed to keep you in flow—no switching to a browser tab, copying and pasting text, or losing context.

Instant access from any app

Press your chosen hotkey (for example, CTRL + SPACE) and Beam appears on top of whatever you’re doing. You can immediately ask a question, rewrite text, generate code, or request an explanation without interrupting your workflow.

No subscriptions or extra accounts

Beam works with your own OpenAI API key, so there’s no separate login or recurring subscription. Pricing follows a “pay what you want” model for the app, while usage costs are billed and tracked through your OpenAI account.
